Paxson, superintendent of the P & R motive power, died of neuralgia of the heart at 1 a. m. to-day at her residence, 218 North 6th. Deceased was born May 2, 1830, and was an invalid at times for the past 23 years, so that she was enabled to go out very little. She was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lydia Kraft. Deceased was the organizer and first president of the Reading branch of the Women's Needlework Guild and was an ardent worker in its interests, since its formation in 1859. She was a good wife and a kind and loving mother. She contributed quite liberally to charities, but always under the name of "Friend." Decease was a member of the St. Paul's Memorial Reformed church and leaves many friends. Besides her husband she is survived by these children: Mrs. Ammon S. Deeter, Mrs. John B. Mull, Anna K. and Levi B. Paxson, jr.


Mary married Levi Benjamin Paxson, son of Jonathan Paxson and Catharine Beecher. (Levi Benjamin Paxson was born on 22 Mar 1827 in Sadsbury Twp., Chester, PA,2 3 4 died on 11 Apr 1909 in Reading, Berks, PA 3 4 and was buried on 16 Apr 1909 in Reading: Charles Evans Cemetery, Berks, PA 3 4.)
