Obituary: Harrisburg Telegraph: obituary of Amos B. Garlin on 14 Apr 1942 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA. 1 Amos B. Garlin, 84, 24 South Twentieth street, died Monday in a local hospital. He was a member of Fifth Street Methodist Church for many years. Survivors are three sons, Russell, Reading; Leslie, Lebanon; Forrest E., and a dughter, Mrs. Margaret Conrad, both of Harrisburg; and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Clouser, New Bloomfield. Private services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Heidel funeral home, 436 Cumberland street, Captain W. D. Thornsley, volunteers of America, officiating. Burial will be in Shoop's cemetery. Friends may call at the Heidle parlors tonight from 7 to 9. Amos married Maggie Kuhn. (Maggie Kuhn was born in 1862 in , Perry, PA,5 died in 1904 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA 5 and was buried in Harrisburg: Shoops Cemetery, Dauphin, PA 5.) |
