Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late John and Barbara Ann Mergner Wagner. He was employed in sales most of his life and at one time had been employed 23 years by the York County Gas Company, now the Columbia Gas Company. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and the board of directors of the Yorktowne Mutal Insurance Company.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, G. Bruce Wagner, 128 S. Findlay St.,; two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, a sister, Marie Wagner, Lancaster, and a brother, Lewis Wagner, Harrisburg.
Rev. Robert L. Lang J., his pastor, will officiate at funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the building fund of Advent Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
