1. Obituary: Jeremiah Diehl, was prominent for many years in the Morgenland Church, died at his home 1243 Hickory St.

Until 1921 he operated a farm in Lowhill Township and following his retirement served for a time as a sexton of the church in which he also held the position as elder. For many years he was a road supervisor in Lowhill.

Born in Lehigh County, he was a son of Jonas and Deborah (Freeman) Diehl. His wife, the former Sarah Henry, died twelve years ago and was preceded in death by a daughter. Survivors include 2 sons, John and Morgan of Allentown, 2 daughters Helen and Mrs. Aurelius Miller of Orefield.

Jeremiah married Sarah C. A. Henry in 1884.¹ (Sarah C. A. Henry was born on 21 May 1861 in , , PA,⁴ died on 9 Oct 1932 ⁴ and was buried in Leather Corner Post: Morgenland Church Cemetery, Lehigh, PA ⁴.)
