55 Year Old Gown
Wearing her grandmother's 55 year old wedding dress, Miss Linda Kay Eyerly, Livingston, Mont., was married to James M. Beecher, Chehalis, on the evening of August 1. The dress was fashioned in batiste with a lace insertion and pintucks. Her veil, made into a picture hat, touched the floor. She carried white clematis, pink baby roses, white stephanotis and ivy on a white Bible.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Kim Eyerly. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Glenva Eyerly, Livingston, and the Rev. and Mrs. W. Clyde Beecher, Chehalis.
The Rev. Beecher performed the double ring ceremony for his son in the Methodist church in Livingston. Two large baskets of white chrysanthemums, alter bouquets and candelabra with aqua candles formed the setting for the ceremony. Miss Diana McKibben played the wedding music and Miss Mary Deer was the soloist.
Miss Cheryle Eyerly was maid of honor for her sister in a floor length gown of aqua blue organdy trimmed with lace. Dressed in the same fashion were bridesmaids, Mrs. James Warren, Seattle, and Miss Sandra Parriot, Livingston. They all carried old -fashioned bouquets centered with a white lighted candle.
Miss Linda Sadler, a niece of the bridegroom, was the candle lighter and Miss Cynthia Sadler, also a niece of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. Both wore long dresses of white dotted swiss.
Paul Coulter, Seattle, was best man. Warren Hanson, Tacoma, and Darrel Adams, Seattle, were ushers.
The reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.
For the wedding trip through Yellowstone and points south to San Francisco, the bride wore a beige lace dress with brown accessories.
She was graduated from the University of Puget Sound and is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. He was graduated from the University of Puget sound and is affiliated with Sigma Chi and Phi Delta Phi fraternities. He is also a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law. They will make their home in Seattle.
