LEXINGTON, Nov. 2 -- James Clayton Stegall, 65, Moore Drive, died at 9 a. m. today while visiting a sister in Miami, Fla. Stegall, a son of George and Katherine Holmes Stegall, was born in Union County May 22, 1883. Surviving are the wife, Belle Stegall; three sons, J. C. Stegall, Jr., Winston-Salem, Donald Stegall, Lexington, and Pvt. Lloyd Stegall, Camp Jackson, S. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Hal Barton and Betty Stegall, both of Lexington; one brother, Floyd Stegall of Wilmington; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Andrews and Mrs. Jack Baker, both of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Addie Hunt of Seneca, S. C.; and three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is expected to arrive in Lexington Thursday and will be taken to Piedmont Funeral Home.

Jesse C. Stegall, 60, a visitor from Lexington, N. C., was fatally stricken with a heart attack while shopping Tuesday at a market at 3451 N. W. 18th ave. He was visiting a sister, Mrs. Wilma Andress, 2811 N. W. 23rd ave. The body will be returned to Lexington by Lithgow funeral home.
