Obituary: News and Record: obituary of Edward Baxter Leonard on 2 Dec 1990 in Greensboro, Guilford, NC. ⁴ Edward Baxter Leonard, 76, of 410 Idlewild Drive, died Friday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church of which he was a member. Entombment will be in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. A native of Davidson County, he was retired from Standard Oil Co. in Venezuela. Upon retirement, he worked for the Lexington City Schools. Surviving are wife Melba Beeker Leonard; sister Mrs. Gilda Greer of Lexington; brothers Venice Leonard, Cecil Leonard, both of Lexington. The family will be at Voglers-Piedmont Funeral Home 7-9 pm today. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Route 5, Box 177, Lexington, N.C. 27292.
