Mrs. Ada Ruth Koon Beeker Agner, 80, of Salisbury, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Rowan Regional Medical Center after 1 year of declining health.

Born March 22, 1925 in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Ada Rosanna Reid Koon and James Stickley Koon.

Educated in the China Grove Schools and a graduate of China Grove High School, she was employed by Hartline Dry Cleaning for 9 years and retired from the VA Medical Center with over 20 years of service. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, a life member of W.E.L.C.A. and former Sunday School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Giles Walter Beeker who died December 9, 1973 and her second husband, Robert Curtis Agner who died September 19, 1991.

Survivors include one son, Terry Beeker and wife Susan Miller Beeker of Salisbury; one sister, Jo Faye of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Cindy Beeker Dailey and husband Colin Dailey of Salisbury and Michael Beeker of Greenville, SC; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Dailey, Matthew Dailey and Megan Dailey.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Ladies' Parlor and at other times at the home of her son, Terry Beeker.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. The Rev. William Ketchie, Minister will officiate.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 205 St. Paul's Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
