1. Newspaper: Evening Star: Miss Hazel Frances Shoemaker Married to Mr. C. M. Beeker, 24 Mar 1939, Washington, District of Columbia, DC. 1 Miss Hazel Frances Shoemaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice E. Shoemaker, was married to Mr. Clarence Michael Beeker of Takoma Park, Md., son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Beeker of Greensboro, N. C., Saturday evening, March 18. The wedding took page in the Dumarton M. E. Church, the Rev. W. F. Atkinson officiating. Miss Nancy Oulds sang, accompanied by Mrs. Rovilla Atkinson, who also played the wedding marches. The church was decorated in palms and fern and lighted by candles.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin gown made with a train. Her long tulle veil was held in place by gardenias and her shower bouquet was of bridge roses, gardenias, freesia and fern.
Mrs. Grant Barber, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor, wearing aquamarine lace and she carried talisman roses tied with yellow tulle. Miss Louise Bond of Riverdale, Md., and Miss Margaret Cassaman of Morgantown, W. Va., were the bridesmaids, wearing similar gowns of chiffon, one in pink and the other in blue and they carried pink roses. Little Dorothy Folk, daughte rof Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Folk, was flower girl and had on a dainty colonial frock of pink flowered organdy and carried a colonial bouquet.
Mr. Euegene G. Shoemaker, brother of the bride, was best man, and the ushers were Mr. Frank W. Fields and Mr. J. C. Beeker of Takoma Park, Md., brother of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Shoemaker, mother of the bride, received the guests at the reception, which was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shoemaker on Conduit road. The hostess wore royal blue lace over satin and a corsage of talisman roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Beeker left later for a Southern wedding trip, the bride wearing a tan sport suit with accessores to match. They will live at 5348 Conduit road.

Beeker, Fridgidaire mechanic, 25, son-in-law, living with his wife Hazel F., buyer in department store, 22, in the home of her father, Morris E. Shoemaker, electrician in street car garage, 58, and his wife Sarah F., 51. Also in the home is their son Eugene H. Shoemaker, printer, 19. Clarence was born in North Carolina and the others in Maryland. Clarence lived in 1935 in North Carolina, the others in this same house.

3. Census in 1950 in Bethesda, Montgomery, MD. 7 The 1950 census recorded 4009 64th Street: Clarence C. Beeker, servicing refrigerators, 36, living with wife Hazel F., 33; Shirley Ann, 7; and Barbara Jane, 4. Clarence was born in North Carolina, Hazel in Maryland, and the daughters in District of Columbia.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday and Monday, September 18 and 19, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Bethesda Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, where services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, at 11 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
