CLEVELAND -- William Alvin Beeker, 35, of Rt. 1 was dead on arrival Wednesday at Rowan Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Cleveland Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Penly and the Rev. Arnold Bell officiating. Burial will be at the church.
He was a Rowan County native.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Norma Jean Beeker; stepdaughters, Misses Laura and Wendy Dover of the home; mother, Mrs. Mable Vanderford of Mooresville; brothers, Edwin Beeker of Charlotte; Kenneth Beeker of Cleveland; sisters, Mrs. Nancy Moore of Mooresville, Mrs. Betty Duncan of New Bern, Mrs. Martha Fisher of Cleveland.

William married Norma Jean Barringer, daughter of Ross Barringer and Arlene Cozart. (Norma Jean Barringer was born on 11 Apr 1940 in , Rowan, NC ^{5 10}.)
