Steve is survived by his four sons, James Stephen Beeker II (Tiffany), Destyn Christopher, Brandon Kyle (Tori), and Jensyn Walter Earl, two grandchildren, Theodore James and Kaia Nash Beeker, a brother, Henry Earl (Sonny) Beeker, Jr. (Lynn), three sisters, Deborah B. Rochelle(Rocky), Cathy Beeker Farrow, and Susan Beeker Spigelmyer and numerous nephews and nieces. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Earl Beeker and Edna Marie Rhodes Beeker of Carolina Beach, NC. Steve was born on December 10, 1951 in Wilmington, NC, graduated from Hoggard High School and was a lifelong resident of Carolina Beach. Steve was a loving father and grandfather, a beloved brother, a good friend to many and a very special and unique man. He spent many memorable times in Buzzard Bay clamming with his father and family in his earlier adult years. Steve loved the UNC Tar Heels basketball team and would wear the Tar Heel Blue for every game! A memorial for Steve will be held at the South Gazebo at Fort Fisher at 11am on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Steve's family extends an invitation to his friends to attend and celebrate the very special life of Steve Beeker. "Sand in my shoes, salt in my hair, I'm just an old beachcomber......."
