Loving father of Matthew Beecher of Egg Harbor and Steven Beecher of Clayton. Cherished brother of Eileen Barton of Wenonah, Patricia Bonin (Robert) of Sewell, Ellen Holmes (Tom) of Glendora, and Anna Mae Greer (Gene) of Delaware. He is also survived by his best friend of 65 years, Arthur "Art" Taylor (Diane).
William was involved within the community for Deptford's Little League as a coach for 53 years. He also volunteered as an announcer for baseball games within the local District 15 for tournaments. William was also a proud member of the Deptford Elks of 33 years. He was a math teacher at Audubon High School for 30+ years. William was an avid collector including stamps, coins, trains, and comic books to name a few. He was well known to be a voracious reader of books, especially history and sports. He had a soft heart for dogs, as he cared for many throughout his life. He loved spending time watching sports, especially his beloved Phillies, Red Sox, Eagles, and Flyers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 10am-12pm with a Catholic Mass to follow at 12pm at Incarnation Church, 240 Main St, Mantua, NJ 08051.
Interment will be Private.
