1. Obituary: News-Sun: obituary of Ida Shatto on 17 Oct 1957 in Newport, Perry, PA. ² Mrs. Ida Velvor Shatto, 77, widow of Benjamin F. Shatto, of Shermansdale, died last Tuesday in a hospital in Harrisburg. In recent years she made her home in Shermansdale with her son, Robert E. Shatto.
She was a member of Young's Evangelical United Brethren Church in Shermansdale. Surviving, in addition to her son, Robert, are five other sons, Donald E. and Grant S., both of Shermansdale; E. Benjamin, of Wormleysburg; Milton S., of Harrisburg; and Neil R. of Palmyra; two daughters, Mrs. Cloyd O. Dick, Shermansdale, and Mrs. Frank L. Fry, New Bloomfield; one sister, Mrs. Emma LaVanture, Harrisburg; 29 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at Young's Church with the Rev. John Witmer officiating. Burial was in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Ida married Benjamin Franklin Shatto, son of Isaac Shatto and Ellenora Amanda Beecher, on 3 Sep 1896.
