Next door is Kate's brother, Charles Beck, carpenter, 35, with his wife Ellen, 33; Edgar, 13; Ramer, 9; Lottie, 7, and Harry, 10 months born in July 1879. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except Frederick's parents in Prussia, and Kate's parents in Virginia.
