GREENSBURG, PA., Oct. 14. The winning of the Cogwell Jewel by Canton York No. 14. consisting of 18 officers under command of Capt. Charles Gotwat, in a competitive drill at Athletic Park today, and the announcement of the secret marriage of Miss Amelia Gintling and Jesse W. Briggs, both of York, and delegates here, were features of the second day of the eighty-sixth annual encampment of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the twenty-second annual convention of the Department Council Patriarchs Militant in session here.

The wedding was performed in the First Methodist Episcopal Church last night by the Rev. H. D. Whitfield. It was said that the couple had planned to be married while visiting here. The bridegroom is a member of the Odd Fellows, and his bride Is a member of the Daughters of Rebekah. Mr. Briggs had a chase through the country when several delegates kidnapped his bride. He captured the "kidnappers" with the bride early today.

This afternoon was given over to the competitive drill. Several addresses were delivered by delegates following the drill.

Tonight the Patriarchs Militant degrees were conferred on 40 candidates in the State Armory. At the same time 50 candidates were received into the Daughters of Rebekah In the Odd Fellows' Hall.

It Is expected that between 10.000 and 15,000 delegates will arrive here before the parade starts tomorrow. Several hundred arrived tonight, making the total several thousand.
