1. Census in 1940 in Shillington, Berks, PA. ⁴ The 1940 census recorded renting a home for $20 a month at 110 Brobst St: Clinton Flickinger, ice plant engineer, 30, living with wife Esther, 29; and daughter Nancy, 6. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

2. Census in 1950 in Shillington, Berks, PA. ⁵ The 1950 census recorded at 24 Philadelphia Avenue on the 1st floor: Clint Flickinger, refrigeration engineer at ice plant, 40, living with wife Esther, 39, and daughter Nancy, sales clerk in retail store, 16. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

3. Obituary: Reading Eagle on 12 Nov 2014 in Reading, Berks, PA. ⁶ Nancy A. Swavely, 80, formerly of Shillington, passed away on November 12, 2014 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Clinton O. and Esther (Bicher) Flickinger.
Nancy was a 1951 graduate of Shillington High School.
Mrs. Swavely held many positions over the years working in the medical field, which included: medical assistant for Dr. Reidenburg, working in medical records at The Reading Hospital, assistant to the Director of Internal Medicine, Eugene Hilldreth, at The Reading Hospital, and as a medical transcriptionist for Shillington Internal Medicine and Associates.
Nancy enjoyed reading, writing, crochet, attending church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her former husband and the father of her children, Jack Swavely.
Survivors include her children: Brad S. Swavely of Womelsdorf, Diana L. Swavely of Kenhorst, Lisa A. Seher of Easton, and Mark A. Swavely, husband of Isabella of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Owen, and Sean Swavely; and beloved family pets.
A service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11-12:30. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
