Noted events in her life were:

1. Alt. Name:,. Her marriage license application lists her as Kate E. Owens, "never married" but she clearly is described as marrying Lemon Bucher as the daughter of William Crouse in the book, "Biographical Annals of Lancaster County." Either she previously married an Owens prior to marrying Bucher, or, she was an adopted daughter of William Crouse? The 1870 census in Jackson Township, Lebanon County lists William Crouse, 29, married to Catherine, 25; living with daughter Lizzie, 1. Our assumption is therefore she was previously married.

2. Census in 1900 in West Cocalico Twp., Lancaster, PA. 3 Lemon B. Bucher, salesman coal and lumber, 34, born Jun 1865, was married for 11 years to wife Kate E., 32, Aug 1867. She had birthed one child: Stephen C., 11, Oct 1888. Also living with them is niece Martha May Bucher, 1, Jan 1898. [Note: Her mother, Amelia wife of Edwin Bucher, died in 1899.] Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

Kate married Owens.

Kate next married Lemon B. Bucher, son of Jacob Bucher and Harriet, on 30 Jul 1888 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA.1 (Lemon B. Bucher was born on 23 Jun 1865 in Denver, Lancaster, PA,1 3 4 5 6 died on 2 Apr 1908 and was buried in Denver: Fairview (Bucher) Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.)
