YORK Woodrow W. Stough, 77, of York, died Thursday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Helen A. (Walters) Stough. The couple observed their 56th wedding anniversary March 16.

The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, 2290 School St., Shiloh.

Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stough was born March 6, 1919, in North Codorus Township. He was the son of the late Martin E. and Delsie (Witmar) Stough.

He worked for the former New York Wire Cloth Co. He was a member of Dover Assembly of God Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations and receiving the EAME theater ribbon with three bronze service stars.

Mr. Stough also is survived by two sons, Philip F. Stough and Richard T. Stough, both of York; two daughters, Delores J. Winter and Joann L. Beecher, both of Dover; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Stewart Stough of North Codorus Township; and five sisters, Fairy Klinedinst of Dallastown, Helen Henry of York New Salem, and Evangeline Steffe, Louise Klinedinst and Margaret Leese, all of York.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Timothy H. Imes.
