WARRENTON -- Sharon Lee Kuechler and the Reverend William Arlen Beeker of Warrenton were married Sunday evening, August 30, at 7:30 o'clock.
The Reverend Emerson Colaw, assisted by tjie Reverend Robert C. Kidd, youth director of the Elmhurst Methodist Church in Elmhurst. Illinois, officiated.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Beeker of Durham and the bride is the daughter of Mrs. George Kuechler of Elmhurst, Illinois.
The church was decorated with chrysanthemums and candelabra entwined with smilax, which was also on the side pillows and window of the chancel.
Music was by Mrs. Clark Sims, soloist, and Mrs. Arthie Ferrell, organist.
The bride's gown was of white silk and had an imported lace bodice and chapel train. The Juliet cap, to which her elbow length veil was attached, was made of the same lace and trimmed in seed pearls. She carried a butterfly bouquet of white orchids and rosebuds.
Mrs. Nerron Seron of Grinnell, Iowa, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Sandra Schroeder of Elmhurst, Illinois, Chiquita Murray of Mocksville, North Carolina, and Claire Sommers of Bethesda, Maryland.
Their gowns were full skirted white organza over nile green with green cummerbunds and their headpieces were caps of nature variegated ivy. They carried white lace baskets of white daisies and ivy.
Aaron Seron of Grinnell, Illinois was best man, and ushers were Bernard Brnach, a Duke classmate of the bridegroom, of Durham, Bill Kuechler, brother of the bride, Glenn Andres and Ronald Anderson.
A pre-wedding breakfast was held at the Old Spinning Wheel. A wedding supper attended by 200 guests was held in the Church Hall. After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, they are at home in Warrenton, where Mr. Beeker is serving as Methodist minister in Providence, Prospect and Shocco Methodist churches. He received his AB degree from Duke and will continue his studies there in the Divinity School. They were honored at a pantry shower Saturday evening by members of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church here.
