2. Court: Lancaster Deed Book U11 page 411 records that on 6 May 1882 Samuel and Mary Bicher Bryan received $175.45 as their share of the estate of her father Jacob Bicher on 6 May 1882 in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster, PA. ¹⁰

3. Census in 1900 in East Earl Twp., Lancaster, PA. ¹¹ The 1900 census recorded Samuel W. Briand [sic], farmer, 50, born Feb 1850, living with wife Mary, 40, Feb 1860; Minie I., tobaco strifer, 17, Jul 1882; Samuel W., 10, Oct 1889; Tomas B., 8, Apr 1896; and Harvey B., 3, Oct 1896. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Samuel and Mary were married for 20 years and she had birthed 8 children by 1900, 7 alive that year.

4. Census in 1910 in East Earl Twp., Lancaster, PA. ¹² The 1910 census recorded Samuel W. Bryan, farm laborer, 59, living with wife Mary, 49; Minnie, ticker in silk mill, 27; Samuel, railroad repairman, 21; and Norman, 13. Also in the home was grandson Earl Musser, 5; and granddaughter Margerite Buckwalter, 1 year 11 months. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Next door is William Bryan, 65, and his wife Kate, 64 and their family.

6. Census in 1940 in Terre Hill, Lancaster, PA. ¹³ The 1940 census recorded Mary Bryan, widowed, 79, as a servant in the home of Preston W. Cake, printer, 54. They were born in Pennsylvania.

Obituary: Lancaster News Intelligencer: obituary of Mrs. Mary Bryan on 2 Aug 1940 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ⁹ Mrs. Mary Bryan, seventy-nine, widow of Samuel Bryan, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her son, George Bryan, New Holland. She was a former resident of Terre Hill. Besides the son, at whose home she resided, she is survived by the following children: Miss Minnie Bryan, Lititz; Samuel, Terre Hill and Norman, Reading R. D. 1; two step-sons, Harry, Reading, and Darius, Manheim, and a brother, Benjamin Bicher, Lebanon. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Mary married Samuel W. Bryan, son of Thomas Bryan and Magdalena Lapp, on 3 Aug 1879 in New Holland: Zeltenreich Reformed Church, Lancaster, PA.^{1 2} (Samuel W.
