All were born in Indiana except Ada in Ohio. John's real estate was valued at $300. The post office was Kokomo.

3. Census in 1880 in Arlington, Rush, IN, USA. ⁵ The 1880 census recorded John S. Burt [sic], works in tin shop, 44, living with wife Adaline, 43; William L., apprentice tin shop, 20; Elizabeth, 17; Robert W., 9; Edward, 6; and Anna L., 9 months born in August. All were born in Indiana except Adaline in Ohio.
