Approximately 100 fellow employes at Kaiser Steel Co. will honor Thad A. Kay and Mrs. Kay tonight in recognition of his retirement form active service with the company.
The couple will be honored guests at a retirement party at the Elks Club, 6166 Brockton Ave. Mr. and Mrs. Kay live at 4211 Emerson Ave.
Recently, Kay was special consultant to plant engineer Malcom Jones. Previously he had served as assistant plan engineer and as plant engineer.
A 1917 graduate of Purdue University, Kay joined the Kaiser steel plant at Fontana in 1945. He is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and holda California engineering license.
Employes of the engineering department are to present a desk for his den and the company is to present him with a gift.
