NETHER PROVIDENCE -- The Wallingford Presbyterian Church was the setting here for the marriage at noon Saturday of Miss Jessica Rae Herwick and Frederick Wilscombe Skillman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Skillman, 205 Highland Ave., Wallingford.
The bride made her home with her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Mooney, 4701 Sir Galahad Drive, Brookhaven. She is also the daughter of the late John S. Herwick.
The Rev. L. Robert Hallman officiated and John C. Jubin 3rd was the organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John S. Herwick Jr. of Haverford Township. Her gown had a Chantiily lace bodice with a sabrina neckline and long sleeves, and a peau de sole sheath skirt with a detachable lace train.
A pearl-and sequin trimmed cap held her fingertip length veil and she carried a cascade of white roses, carnations and chrysanthemums.
Miss Nancy Matthews of Marmora, N.J., was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Judith Blood of Roxborough, cousin of the bride; and Mrs. Herwick Jr.
David Gray of Nether Providence served as best man for his brother-in-law. Ronald Steele of Dallas, Pa., and Gordon Skillman of DeLand, Fla., uncle of the bridegroom, seated the guests.
A reception at Walber's-on-the-Delaware, Tinicum, followed the ceremony. The newlyweds will make their home in New Haven, Conn. The bride is a graduate of Sun Valley High School and Sleeper's Business College.
The bridegroom was graduated from Nether Providence High School and is a student at the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven.

Ariman Frederick W. Skillman, 205 Highland Ave., Nether Providence, is a food service specialist with a unit of the Military Airlift Command at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
Skillman, who is married to the former Jessica Herwick, of Brookhaven, attended the Culinary Institute of America, New Haven, Conn., after graduation from Providence High School in 1966.

Skillman, who is married to the former Jessica Herwick, of Brookhaven, is a food service specialist at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, N.J. They are living in the area during his current assignment. Skillman, a 1966 graduate of Nether Providence High School, entered the Air Force in 1968 after completing study at the Culinary Institute of America, New Haven, Conn.
