Timothy Boyd WEYANDT, MD, MPH, FACOEM, 54, of Crestwood Dr., RD. 1, Box 387 D., Juniata Township, Huntingdon, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at 3:39 pm in Catharine Township, Blair County. Born July 16, 1946, in Roaring Spring, he was the son of Melvin Boyd and Lois (Bruckman) Weyandt who survive in Huntingdon. He married Mary Barbara Beeker June 29, 1990, in Bel Air, Md. Mrs. Weyandt survives at their Juniata Township residence. Also surviving are three daughters and a son: Paula Sierant, Montana; Dawn Petty, Kansas; Tamara Ryon, Bel Air, Md.; and Timothy Weyandt II, also of Bel Air, Md. There are five grandchildren. Two sisters survive: Mrs. John (Miriam) Thomas, State College; and Patricia Echard, McVeytown. Dr. Weyandt served for 20 years with the United States Army in occupational medicine. He retired from the army in 1992. He was a licensed physician with full residency training and board certifications in both pediatric medicine and environmental medicine. He had been awarded the status of fellow, the highest degree of professional recognition, by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. A career in military medicine afforded opportunities to develop expertise in health hazard and risk assessment, industrial toxicology, chemical casualty management and reproductive toxicology. After his retirement from the army, he served as director of occupational medicine and professor of industrial safety and health at Penn State University, before becoming a full-time private consultant in occupational and environmental medicine. Dr. Weyandt had been currently serving as director of occupational medicine programs for the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a Fortune 500 company. He had resided at his Juniata Township home since March 1993, after moving from Bel Air, Md. Dr. Weyandt attended the Christian Assembly in Huntingdon. Interment will be private.


Timothy married Mary Barbara Beeker, daughter of Charles Wilbur Beeker and Ruth Schmitt, on 29 Jun 1990 in Bel Air, Harford, MD, USA. (Mary Barbara Beeker was born on 16 Dec 1946 in Baltimore, Baltimore, MD 3 and died on 18 Apr 2016 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon, PA 2.)
