1. Census in 1870 in Green Township, Grant, IN, USA. ⁴ The 1870 census recorded Joseph Hannah, farmer, 19, living with wife Ida M. Hannah, 18. They were born in Indiana.

2. Obituary: The Call-Leader: Jacob Hannah Died of Pneumonia on 10 Mar 1919 in Elwood, Madison, IN. ⁵ Jacob Hannah, 69, died at his home in the Blume apartments, about noon totlay, of pneumonia, after an illness of two weeks. It was not known that this good citizen was seriously ill and his death came as a shock to his many friends. He was bom in Rush county and has been a resident of this community since 1854. He was twice married, his first wife being Arva Ann Tolle, who died in 1877. He then married Ida Langston, who with his six children survive The children are Mrs. Myrtle Beher, Mrs. Bertha Gavin, Clarence Hannah, Ollie Tolle, Herman Hannah, Mrs. Ada Reed and Mrs. Hazel Conway, all of whom reside in this locality. Until about three years ago Mr. Hannah resided on his fine farm, nine and one-half miles north of Ibis city, and then removed to this city to spend his remaining years. He is survived by eight brothers and one sister. The arrangements for the funeral were not announced this afternoon.
