The death of Robert A. Black, 35, former Porter county resident and well known throughout the county, especially the south part where for a number of years he made his home, occurred Monday noon at 11 o'clock at his home, 329 McKinley street, Gary. Mr. Black was a veteran of the world war and during his service abroad was gassed, since which time his health was greatry impaired, causing heart trouble. For the past two years he had been employed as salesman for the Continental Baking company. He was a member of Radilyack Post, American Legion of Kouts, and affiliated with the Hebron lodge, F. A. M. Surviving are the widow, May, and one son, Robert Jr. Funeral rite will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the chapel at 675 Adams street, Gary, with Hebron lodge F. A. M. in charge. The remains will be brought to Valparaiso by auto and interment made at Graceland cemetery, the burial to be made about 5 o'clock.
