Oliver Frank Conklin, 67, of 342 Coconut Row, Palm Beach, died at his home at about 5:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon following a long illness. He was a prominent realtor here having been associated in business with his wife, Mrs. Hazel Conklin, for years. Mr. Conklin also was known as an inventor. Mr. and Mrs. Conklin came here 17 years ago from Cincinnati. They have lived at Palm Beach since 1924. The body will be sent to Orlando, accompanied by the wife, for funeral services. The Mizell-Simon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Services Held In Florida For Former Cincinnati Inventor.
Services were held yesterday in Palm Beach, Fla., for O. F. Conklin, former Cincinnati inventor and manufacturer, who died at his home in Palm Beach, where he had been living for the last 10 years. Born in Cincinnati in 1870, he was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Conklin, former teacher in the public schools. Educated here, he left the city as a young man to become associated successively with the Robbins and Meyers Company, Springfield, Ohio, and Dayton Fan and Motor Company, Dayton, Ohio. He later became President and general manager of the Remy Electric Company, Anderson, Ind. Recently he had been engaged in the real estate business in Palm Beach. Conklin was accredited with improved electric motors for cleaners and revolving fans, and the first electric automobile self-starters. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel Conklin; a son, Oliver, Pardin, N. J.; a daughter, Miss Alma Conklin, Lafayette, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Kate T. Hitchens, Norwood, and Mrs. Mamie Sibett, Phoenix, Ariz., and two nephews, Robert Hitchens, Norwood, and Arthur Hitchens, Bellevue, Ky.
