Census in 1860 in Milford, Iroquois, IL. 3 The 1860 census recorded Samuel Laird, farmer, 57, living with wife Delilah, 55; Robert M., 19; Laura, 15; Amanda, 12. Also in the home is Freeman Bossman, 26, and David M. Laird, 26. Samuel was born in Pennsylvania, Delilah in Virginia, and their children in Indiana. Later on the same census page is James A. Laird, 30, with his family. On the previous census page is Samuel's son, George M. Laird, 27, with his family, and Elisa Laird, 33, with his family, and Charles Laird, 23, with his wife. Samuel married Delilah Albin. (Delilah Albin was born on 25 Dec 1805 in Hampton, Hampton, VA,4 died on 25 Jan 1877 in , Iroquois, IL 4 and was buried in Goodwine: Amity Cemetery, Iroquois, IL 4.) |
