Kingery, 82, a native of Lincoln, Neb., died Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, where he was taken after suffering a heart attack while visiting his daughter, Mrs. Ardis Christopher, here. Surviving are one daughter, at whose home he was stricken, and one son, O. E. Kingery, of Lincoln, Neb. The body was returned to Lincoln, Neb., for burial.

Kingery, 82, prominent Nebraska businessman and president of the Kingery Construction company in Lincoln died here Sunday. Mr. Kingery, a resident of Lincoln for 62 years, was visiting his daughter, Mrs. William Christopher of Fowler, Ind., when he became ill. His home in Lincoln was at 1618 No. 28th. HE IS SURVIVED by his son, O. E. Kingery of Lincoln; daughter, Mrs. William Christopher of Fowler, Ind.; sister, Mrs. Clarence Stevens of Enid, Okla.; brother, D. M. Kingery of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three grand children, and three great grandchildren. Mr. Kingery was born June 13, 1866, in a log house near Foster, la. He went to Lincoln at the age of 21. His first job was with the old Nebraska Planing mills. He later became president of the company. IN 1904 he established the Enterprize Planing mill at 24th and N. The plant burned in April, 1924. Mr. Kingery and his son then founded the Kingery Construction company. Some of the Lincoln buildings constructed by the company were the Havelock, College View, and Holmes schools and Wadlows funeral home. In 1930 they rebuilt the state penitentiary. Other buildings put up by the company include the science building at Peru state teachers college, high schools at Wayne and Wakefield, girls' dormitory at Midland college at Fremont and others over the state. MR. KINGERY was a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen No. 9, of which he served as recorder for many years. He was a charter member of the Lincoln Rotary club and a member of the chamber of commerce. His wife, Cora, died in May, 1948. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary June Z7, 1947. The body will be brought to Lincoln for services and burial.
