The petition recites that Cletus A. Brown vs. Vera Brown. The Browns were lawfully married in Parsons on or about February 15, 1907 and resided together until March 21, 1910. They lived happily together until September 15 1908, when Funk Wellman a single man visited them for one day. Alter that she became sullen and cross, and commenced to mistreat her husband. She called him a darned old fool; and an idiot, that he was a disgrace to the public and that the neighbors, all hated him. She said Welman was refined, good looking and agreeable while her husband was a slouch. On In Sept. 1909, she took her child and went to the home of his parents in Coffeyville. She remained there over 2 weeks and met, in secret, Frank Wellman every day. After she returned to Parsons she continued sullen and cross. Brown was employed at the Katy freight depot at nights and during his absence Wellman would visit Mrs. Brown. Wellman also met her secretly a! many places in Parsons. Brown became sick on account of the worry over his wife's actions, so he went to Coffeyville to visit his parents. During his absence Mrs. Brown removed her furniture to the home of her mother, Mrs. Doyle and rented the house, so when Brown returned he had no home, wife nor baby. When Brown returned from work in the mornings his wife refused to prepare his breakfast or make his bed. Brown wants to be divorced from his wife and wants the care and custody of their child.
