1. Obituary: The Pantagraph: Death Lays Claim to William Brown on 4 Jun 1925 in Bloomington, McLean, IL. 1 Death Lays Claim To William Brown William O. Brown, resident of Bloomington for 20 years, died at his home 701 East Lincoln street, yesterday morning at 8 o'clock following an illness from heart trouble of a year and a half's duration. William Otis Brown was born in Parsons, Kansas, August 16, 1880 [note: should be 1879 per 1880 census]. He spent his early life in that state coming to Bloomington about 20 years ago. He was united in marriage with Julia Nafziger on June 9, 1902. To this union were born seven children, who with the mother survive. They are: Ruby, Bronson, Opal, William, Jr., Lyle, Nina and Roma. He also leaves his mother Mrs. Drusie Cllne of Cuba, Mo., and one brother, Charles of St. Louis, Mo. Brown was a member of the firm of Brown and Pohl, painting contractors and a member of the Methodist church and Palnter's union.
