Long Time Employe of Montana Brewing Co. Stricken Suddenly by Heart Failure.

Isaac Rafter, for the past 12 years employed, as a cooper at the Montana Brewing company's plant, died suddenly yesterday morning at the brewery, of heart failure. He was about 56 years of age and is survived by a wife, with whom he had not been living for some time, and by sons in Spokane and brothers in Washington and the east. The body is at the W. H. George company undertaking chapel and plans for the funeral will be announced later.
Mr. Rafter had not been complaining and his death came as a great surprise and shock to his fellow workmen. He went to work as usual yesterday morning and seemed to be in his usual cheerful spirits, according to those who knew him well. Shortly after 10 o'clock he was missed from his place and after a little while some one had occasion to go to the toilet and there they found Rafter's body. Death had come to him suddenly.
Dr. W. D. Madden, county coroner, was called, and he directed the removal of the body, the evidence all favoring the view that death was due to natural causes. No inquest was deemed necessary.
Mr. Rafter stood third in the length ot years of continuous service for the Miontana brewing company. He was a member in good standing of the brewery workers' union and that organization will look after plans for his funeral. Relatives in Washington were notified yesterday of the death.

Isaac married Lillian A. Pruitt, daughter of Randolph F. Pruitt and Frances Emmaline Dukes, on 2 May 1916 in Great Falls, Cascade, MT.¹ (Lillian A. Pruitt was born in Apr 1874 in Solomon Rapids, Mitchell, KS, USA ⁴.)
