The parents were born in Illinois, and their parents in Indiana excet William's fathe in Pennsylvania. Anna was born in Kansas, Pearl in Iowa, and the three youngest children in South Dakota. William and Viola were married for 14 years and she had birth 5 children, all alive in 1900. 2. Census in 1910 in Shenandoah, Page, IA. 7 The 1910 census recorded owning a home at 310 Center Street: Alexander A. Widney, live stock buyer, 44, living with wife Viola, 42; Anna, teacher public school, 23; Pearl, teacher, district school, 21; Grace, 19, teacher district school; Ruth, 17; and Marie, 15. Alexander and Viola were born in Illinois, and their parents born in Indiana, except Alexander's father in Pennsylvania. Anna was born in Kansas, Pearl in Iowa, and the younger girls in South Dakota.
