The parents were born in Illinois, and their parents in Indiana excet William's fathe in Pennsylvania. Anna was born in Kansas, Pearl in Iowa, and the three youngest children in South Dakota. William and Viola were married for 14 years and she had birth 5 children, all alive in 1900.

2. Census in 1910 in Shenandoah, Page, IA, USA. ⁷ The 1910 census recorded owning a home at 310 Center Street: Alexander A. Widney, live stock buyer, 44, living with wife Viola, 42; Anna, teacher public school, 23; Pearl, teacher, district school, 21; Grace, 19, teacher district school; Ruth, 17; and Marie, 15. Alexander and Viola were born in Illinois, and their parents born in Indiana, except Alexander's father in Pennsylvania. Anna was born in Kansas, Pearl in Iowa, and the younger girls in South Dakota. Alexander and Viola were married 24 years and she had birthed 5 children, all alive in 1910.

SHENANDOAH -- W. A. Widney, 83, retired stockbuyer, died Saturday after a long illness. His wife and four daughters, Mrs. Win Brown, Mrs. McMichael and Mrs. Pearl Peterson of Shenandoah and Mrs. H. D. Coy, Richmond, Va., survive. The funeral was held at Methodist church at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday.

William married Viola Pruitt, daughter of Daniel Pruitt and Sarah Ann Wilson, on 24 Sep 1885 in Clarinda, Page, IA.^{1 2} (Viola Pruitt was born on 27 Mar 1868 in Milford, Iroquois, IL,^{2 8 9} died on 29 Nov 1963 in Shenandoah, Page, IA, USA ⁹ and was buried in Shenandoah, Page, IA, USA ⁹.)
