LACROSSE - Daniel Spiess, 94, of 16 Indiana Ave., died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in LaPorte Hospital Mr. Spiess was a retired self-employed electrician. He was bom April 4, 1897, in Switzerland. His family moved to LaCrosse when he was 4. On Nov. 17, 1921, in LaCrosse, he married Dorothy Marsh. She died in 1985. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Beecher of LaCrosse, Priscilla Wright of Hanna and Ardena Barbieri of Granger; 10 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; and three sisters, Dororty Gumz of North Judson, Bessie Renn of Hobart, Ind., and Lena Meir of Plano, 111. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kosanke Funeral Home, Kouts. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church.
