Kneisley, 70, of Willow Street, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on 2014. Bom on November 14, 1943 in Columbia, PA, he was the husband of Patricia (Hunsinger) Kneisley and the son of the late Melvin H. Kneisley and the late Arlene (McDonald) Kneisley Hackman. He was a 1961 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School and attended York Junior College. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army Engineers. He retired from PPL Electric with forty-one years as a lineman. Ron was an avid sportsman, his favorite being a duck hunter on the Susquehanna River with his son and friends. He was a five year committee member of the Lancaster Chapter Delta Waterfowl. Ron traveled to Alaska where he shot a prize black bear and also loved to deep sea fish for Tima and Marlin. He always had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed working to make his yard a beautiful place. Ron also enjoyed driving his 1963 Corvette and going to the Carlisle Car Shows with his daughter Jen; they won many best of shows with their car. Ron was a lifelong active member of Boehm's United Methodist Church in Willow Street. His first love was always for the Lord and he served him in any way he could. But his love for his wife and family was evident to all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kneisley fiancee of Thomas Beecher, of Millersville, son, Matthew Kneisley married to Kerri, of Conestoga and daughter, Amy married to Ronald Deiter, of Conestoga; step-daughter, Marie married to Donald Emerick, of Martic Township; step-son, Lee Butzer married to Cindy, of Leola, step-daughter, Lynne married to Bart Kastor, of New Providence; three grandchildren, Dylan Kneisley, Makenzie Kneisley and Cayden Deiter; step-granddaughter, Leann Ginter and great-grandson Mason Groff; two sisters, Sharon married to James McCullough, of Strasburg and Melynda married to Gerald Hasselbach, of Millersville, and two nieces. He joins eternal life with his father, Melvin H. Kneisley, his mother, Arlene S. (McDonald) Kneisley Hackman, a brother, Dennis H. Hackman and his step-father, Daniel H. Hackman. Ron will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. He leaves us all with many wonderful memories. Ron's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the Boehm's United Methodist Church, 13 W. Boehm's Road, Willow Street, PA 17584 on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10AM with Pastor Chris Eden officiating. There will be a viewing held at the church on Tuesday evening between 6 and 8PM and also on Wednesday morning between 9 and 10AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery with Military Honors. Immediately following the service and burial there will be a time of sharing and reminiscing with family and friends in the fellowship hall at Boehm's. A light luncheon will be served. If desired, Memorial Contributions in Ron's name may be given in his memory to Boehm's United Methodist Church. Ronald married Patricia Hunsinger. |
