Formerly of 1114 Hamilton Street Age 86. Passed away March 22 at the Carolyn Nursing Home hi Milwaukee following a brief illness. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, March 28, 1864', and had lived in Racine since he was 16 years old. He was married to the former Mary Frederickson who preceded him in death Dec. 10, 1941. Mr. Nelson had been a stationery engineer at Lincoln School on State St. for 32 years. He was a member of the Dania Society. Surviving are three sons. Leslie of Poughkeepsie. N. Y., Earl of Avon, N. Y., and Donald of Franksville; six daughters, Mrs. Ray Bcecher of Franksville, Mrs. Edward Hansen and Mrs. Kay Beaugrand, both of Racine, Mrs. Louis Johnson of Waterford, Wis., Mrs. Stephan Fox of Racine and Mrs. Clifford Nelson of Belvidere, Ill.; 27 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maren Matson of Racine. One son, Ienar Nelson preceded his father in death March 6, 1930. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a. m. in the Greenwood Funeral Home, 1003 Fourteenth Street, Rev. E. R. Andersen, Lutheran Chaplain of Racine, officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 3 p. m. and until time of services on Saturday.
