Mr. and Mrs. Mattison W. Alderman of New Canaan, Conn., announce the approaching wedding of their daughter, Miss Sarah Ann Alderman, and Herbert Dwight Gearhart. The Rev. and Mrs. Herbert G. Gearhart, 1309 Oakwood Trail, are the future bridegroom's parents. Miss Alderman is a senior at Bethany (W. Va.) College, and is a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Mr. Gearhart attends Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pa. He is a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity They will be married Jan. 27 in First Presbyterian Church at New Canaan.

Newspaper: Battle Creek Enquirer: Alderman-Gearhart Wedding, 27 Feb 1968, Battle Creek, Calhoun, MI. ² Mr. and Mrs. Mattison Wells Alderman of New Canaan, Conn., formerly of Battle Creek, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Sarah Ann, to Herbert Dwight Gear-hart. The couple were married Jan. 27 in the First Presbyterian Church at New Caanan, and after a honeymoon trip are now at home in Philadelphia, Pa., while the groom completes his dentistry studies at the University of Pennsylvania. The bride attended Battle Creek Public Schools during her family's residence here from 1941 until 1958 when her father was head of the research department and later new products manager of Post Div., General Foods, Corp.

Herbert married Sarah Anne Alderman, daughter of Mattison Wells Alderman and Elizabeth Marilyn Bury, on 27 Jan 1968 in New Canaan, Fairfield, CT, USA.¹ (Sarah Anne Alderman was born on 26 Apr 1946 in Battle Creek, Calhoun, MI.)
