"Rock" Seidel, 82, of St. Lawrence, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in his residence. He was the husband of Rita S. (Schmura) Seidel. Born in St. Lawrence, he was a son of the late Eli and Frances (Riegner) Seidel. Rock was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1952. He was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church-Jacksonwald, a life member of the Reiffton Fire Company and the Pikeville Sportsmans Association. He enjoyed summers in Cape May and watching Dale Earnhart, Sr. and the Green Bay Packers. The love of his life was his grandchildren. Rock was a supervisor for UGI in the maintenance and street department for 44 years, retiring in 1996. In addition to his wife, Rock is survived by two sons, Gary R. Seidel of Mohrsville and Scot M. Seidel of Lake Harmony, PA; one daughter, Dori S. Russo of Brecknock Township; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Kolbey and Jenna as well as one sister, Linda wife of Barkley Sell of Reiffton. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Inurnment in Spies-Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Schwarzwald Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 250 Church Lane Road, Reading, PA 19606.
