LEXINGTON - Miss Rebekah Howard Royster became the bride of Charles Howard Fox of Asheboro of 4:30 p.m, yesterday in First Methodist Church. The Rev. Mitchell Faulkner officiated.
Mrs. Fox is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore S. Royster.
She was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was a computer programmer at the University's computation center. Until December 1967, she worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries here.
Mr. Fox, the son of Norman Fox of Bethlehem, Pa., and Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Fox of Allentown, Pa., is a graduate of Duke University. He has worked for the Randolph County Public Library in Asheboro has served in the Air Force. He works for the North Carolina State Library for the Blind in Raleigh.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of peau de soie and lace with a chapel train. Her veil of Brussels lace fell from a cap trimmed in orange blossom clusters.
The necklace she wore was made of gold nuggets from the 1849 California gold rush. The bride's mother received the necklace from her father on wedding day. Mrs. Fox carried a Bible topped with Mrs. Joseph gardenias and stephanotis.
Mrs. Joseph T. Bell of Asheboro, the bride's sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ted E. Banks of Toronto, Ontario; Miss Mary Lou Smith of Greensboro and Miss Linda Lineberger of Kingstree, S. C.
Child attendants were Amy Bell and Ty Bell of Asheboro and Kimberly Banks of Toronto.
The bridegroom's brother, Steven M. Fox of Allentown, was best man. Ushers were Theodore S. Royster Jr. of Winston-Salem, the bride's brother, Richard G. Page III of Winston-Salem and Francis H. Dishaw of Johnson City, N. Y.
After a honeymoon, the couple will live in Raleigh.

Rebekah Royster Fox and Henry Judson Beeker Jr., both of Raleigh, were married Saturday in St. Michael's Episcopal Church. The bride is the daughter of Nancy H. Royster of Lexington and the late Theodore Satterwythe Royster. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Judson Beeker of Four Oaks.
A reception was held in the church. The couple will live in Raleigh. The bride, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,is a programmer analyst at N.C. State University. Her mother is retired.
The groom, a graduate of the Air Force Data Processing School, is a data system coordinator at' NCSU. His mother is a homemaker.
