The groom is the grandson of Annie Yaw of Gibsonville, North Carolina, and the late Flynn Yow, and Harold and Sarah Beeker of Reeds, North Carolina. Maid of honor was Miss Sarah Lindeman of Lynchburg, friend of the bride and groom. Bridesmaids were Flora Adams of Herndon, Marga Fischel Mandy Pillis and Maggie Powell, all of Richmond, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Katie Young of Jacksonville, Florida, cousin of the bride. Best man was Walton Beeker of Raleigh, North Carolina, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Dean Fields of Miami, Florida, and Matthew Fields of Sparta, Tennessee, brothers of the bride, Christopher Reid and Jason Richardson, both of Lynchburg, and Graham McPherson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Alexander McLeod of Mt. Airy, Maryland, cousin of the groom. Reader was Kathy Young of Jacksonville, Florida, the bride's aunt. Greeters were Stacey Hartman and Melissa Chewning of Richmond, cousins of the bride. Delane Floyd of Mechanicsville served as pianist and organist, and there was an original song written and performed by Dean Fields. The reception took place at Spring Grove Farm Bed and Breakfast in Appomattox. The bride graduated from Mary Washington College in 1999, and is employed by Lynchburg City Schools. The groom was a graduate from the VMI class of 1999, and is employed by Intermet Corporation. After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas and Key West, the couple will reside in Lynchburg.
