Miss Samuels is a graduate of Williams High School and 1961 graduate of Elon College where she joined Tau Zet Phi sorority. She attend East Carolina College in Greenville during her freshman year. Miss Samuels was May Day attendant during her junior year at Elon College and served as May Queen her senior year. The prospective bride in the 1962 Miss United Fund of Alamance County and is employed as a secretary for Robert Baxter, Director of Development at Elon College. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Elizabeth, N. J., Mr. Palkovics graduated from Edwards Military Institute and Elon College in 1961. He was a member of Sigma Phi Beta fraternity and was on the Elon College basketball and golf team. Mr. Palkovics is currently in Naval flight training at New Iberia, La.
