Born June 30, 1920, she was a daughter of Jay Nelson Epley and Daisy Norton Epley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sluder.
Survivors include two daughters, Susie Riley of Hickory, and Cathy Beeker of Taylorsville; a son, Charles Sluder Jr. of Hickory; two sisters, Edna McMahan of Swannanoa, and Thelma Todd of Asheville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Oxford Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Langston. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to service.
Burial will be in Sluder Family Cemetery in Asheville. The family will be at Bass-Smith Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Oxford Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Ruby Epley Sluder.
