Mrs. Rains was born April 6, 1920, in Mellville. She married Robert Rains, June 28, 1935, and he died in 1992. Surviving are five sons, Kenneth W. Rains of Lafayette, Larry C. Rains of Conway, Ark., Phillip Rains of Venice, Fla., and Gary Rains and Jerry Rains, both of Vincennes; a daughter, Lisa Rains of Indianapolis; and two sisters. Service will be Monday in Indianapolis.
