He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Beth, his pride-and-joy daughter, Kate and his bright spark-of-life grandson, Miller.
Mr. Boring was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and grew up in Bristol, Tennessee. He played trombone in the high school band and graduated from East Tennessee State University. He eventually moved to Atlanta where he met his wife, Beth. After several other endeavors, he retired as a project manager for a major office furniture company.
He enjoyed sharing his love of Nascar, fishing and baseball with his family. Dixie Speedway evenings, deep-sea and local fishing trips, Braves games and coaching all exemplified this. He also sang in the church choir for a few years, played softball, and enjoyed many years of playing on tennis teams at Brookfield Country Club. He also loved dogs and had a regular group of friends that met for years each weekend at the dog park.
Mr. Boring was a friendly and generous man who will be greatly missed by friends and family. He brought family and experiences into our lives that we would have never known. These enriched our own lives and made us better people. Without him, the world would never be blessed with Kate and Miller who carry his goodness with them forever.
You left us too soon. Much love goes with you Joe.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4-6pm at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.

Joseph married Beth Ann Beicher, daughter of Joseph Robert Beicher Sr. and Betty Jane Hutchinson. (Beth Ann Beicher was born on 23 Feb 1957 in , , Pennsylvania, USA ⁴.)
