Ditch, 79, resident of Mexico for the past 23 years and former minister of the local Brethren Church for 8 years passed away at 5:15 o'clock Saturday morning (September 17) at the home of a daughter Mrs. Alice Keyes here. Rev Ditch had been in failing health for the past years and had been ill with complications during the past seven weeks.

The deceased was born May 15 1859 in Pennsylvania the son of David Ditch and Catherine Smith. He was married in 1884 in Louisville, Ohio, to Jennie Stimmel and moved here 23 years ago. He has been in retirement for the past 16 years.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs.Alice Keyes, Mrs. Ethel Beecher, Michigan City; Arthur B of Canton, Ohio and Manson M of Buffalo, New York; three brothers: Emery Charles of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Grant and John of Alliance, Ohio, and two sisters: Martha Hoppes of Alliance, Ohio, and Ella Ditch of Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Funeral rites will be conducted from the local Brethren Church at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon (September 19) with Rev. J.G. Dodds, pastor, officiating. Burial in the Greenlawn cemetery. The body was removed to the Kline Funeral Home in Denver where friends may call until the hour of the funeral.
