George Bucher, prior to 1820, emigrated from Pennsylvania to York Township, married Sarah Shull and settled on Lot 15, where he died many years later. Henry Pence, a brother-in-law to John Shull, came at an early date from Somerset County, Penn., and entered and settled upon the southwest quarter of Section 15.
