The deceased came to Arkansas City many years ago and was one of the city's most highly esteemed ladies. She was a member of several orders of this city She leaves seven daughters and sons to mourn her death and a large number of friends. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mrs. Luella L. Conard passed away at 9:20 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Beecher on South B street. She leaves ten children to mourn her death, seven girls and three boys. The deceased was aged 75 years, 2 months and 24 days at the time of her death. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star and was loved by all who knew her. A complication of diseases and old age was the cause of death. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. Mrs. Conard was the mother of Miss Bessie Conard of North Second street. She had been a resident of Arkansas City for a good many years.

Lucilla married James W. Conard. (James W. Conard was born on 23 Mar 1838 in Utica, Licking, OH,¹ died on 27 Apr 1919 in Vinita, Craig, OK ¹ and was buried in Ransom: Allen Twp. Cemetery, La Salle, IL ¹.)
