Emaline, 2; and "Not Named", 1 month old when the census was recorded 9 Jul 1860. Also: Maria Fisher, 50; Henry Monks, 16; Cornelis Monks, 12; and Isaac Monks, 25. All were born in West Virginia.
Living on the same page: Martha Ann Fisher's parents, Wm. W. Williams, 63; Rebecca, 55; Thomas, 23; James, 21, and Agnus P., 17.

2. Military from 1861 to 1864 in , Braxton, WV: Civil War: Company B, 3rd WV Infantry & Company E, 3rd WV Cavalry. ⁶ Isaac filed for a miliary pension. On his pension index card: Isaac F. Fisher, private, Company B, 3rd WV Infantry, 1861-1864, wounded in side at Bulltown, WV.

In "History of Braxton County and Central West Virginia" on page 179 it says: "In Company E, Third West Virginia Cavalry, we find the following names: Taylor Sutton, Lee Brooks (killed at Petersburg, Va.), Thomas Coger, Jerry Sawyers, Nick Butcher, Enoch Heater, Isaac Fisher, James P. Hudkins, Payton Boggs."

3. Census in 1870 in Clay Township, Braxton, WV. ⁷ The 1870 census recorded Nicholas Fisher, farming, 41, living with wife Martha, 40; William S., farming, 19; Gibson J., farming, 18; Agnes J., 16; Mary C., 14; daughter Melly E., 12; Lydia E., 8; Isaac A., 5; daughter Lovy S. 3; and Adam C., 10. All were born in West Virginia.
Next door is Martha's brother, Francis M. Williams , 24, with his family. They may all be on the land owned by Martha's father, William Williams, who died in 1869.
The post office was Sallick Bridge.

Census in 1880 in Saltlick, Braxton, WV. ⁸ The 1880 census recorded Nicholas Fisher, farmer, 52, living with wife Martha, 50; Mary K., works on farm, 24; Adam, works on farm, 19; Lydia, works in house, 17; Isaac, works on farm, 15; daughter Lovie, at school, 14; and Martha, 6. Also in the home: granddaughters Marella, 3, and Rose E., 1. Everyone and their parents were born in West Virginia.
