7. Obituary: Reading Times: obituary of William H. Palm on 3 Aug 1937 in Reading, Berks, PA. 6 William H. Palm, 74, died yesterday at his home on Wyomissing Avenue, Shillington. He was in the tinsmith business in Mohnton and Shillington for 45 years. He organized the Keystone Fire Company No. 1, Shillington, and served as its chief for 17 years. He was the oldest living member of Reading Hose Company No. 1. He also belonged to Keyston Fire Chief's Association, Veteran Firemen's Association, Eastern Association of Fire Chiefs, International Association of Fire Chiefs, Berks County Fireman's Association, and Northestern Republican League, Reading.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine (Becher); these children: Claude and Blanche, at home; Stella, wife of Chester Mohn, Shillington; Clarence and Howard, Shillington; and Ethel, Newark, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kitzmiller and Mrs. Annie Schaeffer, both of Reading.
Funeral Thursday, 2 p.m. from the Kindt Funeral Home, Shillington. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery.
