1. Obituary: Springfield Daily News on 18 Jun 1967 in New Carlisle, Clark, OH. ¹ J. Biller Bucher, 74, of 421 S. Main St,, village councilman for 39 years, died unexpectedly in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, where he had been taken following a heart attack in his residence.
He was born in New Carlisle on Jan. 18, 1893, the son of John M. and Martha Biller Bucher. He was a retired farmer and painter, and had been a village councilman for New Carlisle for 39 years. Mr. Bucher was a member of New Carlisle Lodge No. 100, F and AM; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; Caritas Lodge No. 505, IOOF, of New Carlisle.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two daughters, Mrs. Aaron (Doris) Cable, of North Hampton, O., and Mrs. Sherman (Carol) Jones, of Quincy, O.; three grandchildren.

John married Anna Mary Kester on 25 Jun 1913 in Newport, Campbell, KY. (Anna Mary Kester was born on 14 Nov 1894 in New Carlisle, Clark, OH, died on 1 Apr 1941 in Dayton, Montgomery, OH and was buried on 3 Apr 1941 in New Carlisle: New Carlisle Cemetery, Clark, OH.)
